Riva del Garda Fierecongressi S.p.a.
Since 1972 Riva del Garda has had its own Palazzo dei Congressi congress building, constructed by the then autonomous tourist company, which managed it until 1988.
In 1989, the Trentino provincial law for renovation of suburban tourism facilities turned these autonomous companies into APTs (Aziende di Promozione Turistica - Tourist Promotion Companies), creating a new company for the management of publicly owned economic activities.
In December 1988, Palacongressi s.r.l. was set up, a mixed capital company, owned by public tourism bodies and economic category associations (hoteliers and retailers) to support tourism in the town. Public bodies had to join forces with local businesses for management of major structures and initiatives. Palacongressi srl became a limited company in April 2002. To strengthen the identity of the company’s branches and the role assigned to it by the whole of the province, in June 2005, Palacongressi SpA changed its tradename and company name to Riva del Garda Fierecongressi S.p.A. Riva del Garda Fierecongressi S.p.A. today manages the Trentino trade fair and congress district and is an exclusive benchmark on the Italian panorama for trade fairs and congresses. Its corporate capital stands at € 1,276,275.
