18 August 2011According to the latest figures from National Bureau of Statistics, cosmetics sales in China’s industrial production maintains an average annual growth rate of 10% - 20%, only second to America and Japan, and have been the world's third-largest cosmetics market. According to incomplete statistics, by the end of June 2010, there are 3267 cosmetics companies in China with cosmetics manufacturing license. The industry revenue reached 155.0 billion Yuan (23.96 billion USD dollars).

Foreign cosmetics are not allowed to be sold in Chinese market until they are registered at the Ministry of Health; the detailed procedures are as follow:
1. Registration / filing at Ministry of Health (National FDA)
2. Issuing Chinese Label (for the use of examine & approval);
3. Custom Clearance;
4. Ready for marketing and Sales.
