About Identita' golose

The experience of Identità Golose, the congress held in Milan for the past 5 years - started in January 2005 - gave birth to another project: it’s Identità London’s first edition, which will be held in the heart of the UK at the end of June 2009. It’s the Italian Chef Congress, a definition well stressed by the logo since the two events are different one another.

At her debut, Identità London will play a strong Italian theme: 16 lessons in 2 days, at Vinopolis on 29thth of June, 14 interpreters of Italian cuisine and pastry, of which 12 will come straight from Italy and two more, Angela Hartnett (her grandmother was Italian) and Giorgio Locatelli (italianissimo, from Lumbardy) live in London and are highly thought of in the UK.

That’s because Identità London is born from some certainties: that there are many places offering Italian cuisine all over the globe. But how much of it is authentic? How much of it is offered by Italian chefs or chefs that have trained in Italy? How many raw materials are original? Just a few. This is why it’s the right moment to bring our Italian contemporary cuisine beyond our borders, to show it to public and international mass-medias. In Italy we have new ideas and great raw materials who lies there impatient to be known and celebrated.
