Research has shown that there is a clear demand from operators and suppliers alike for a low-cost and effective exhibition catering just for the tipper sector.
Harrogate provides the ideal location for this event, being very much in the heart of “tipper country”, with excellent road and rail access.
The exhibition halls and hotels are all situated in close proximity to each other and the inclusion of Saturday opening makes it easier for smaller operators to attend.
First class facilities provide the unique “Harrogate experience” with excellent sales, socialising and networking opportunities.
For the last ten years there’s been something missing from the transport industry’s calendar – an event specially designed just for the tipping industry. Now all that has changed with Tip-Ex, an exhibition catering exclusively for the specific needs of this all-important road transport sector.
This unique event will take place in the beautiful Yorkshire spa town of Harrogate.
Research has shown a clear demand from both operators and suppliers for a dedicated and effective low-cost tipper exhibition.
In addition to the major fleets, the tipper sector is made up of a large number of smaller operators, many of which are family owned concerns. More often than not, family members are directly involved in the business – driving, working in the traffic office or maintaining the vehicles. For them time is of the essence and visiting other large, non-specific CV shows is neither relevant nor always practical.
Tip-Ex 08 addresses this by providing a dedicated exhibition which will appeal to busy tipper owners who want to see the latest goods and services they need in a “one stop shop”, at a time to suit them.
Visitor attendance is expected to be high. When the last tipper-only show was held in Harrogate it attracted around 10,000 visitors.
Harrogate itself offers many attractions such as antique shops, the spa complex and a wide variety of fine restaurants and a Gala Dinner in the Majestic Hotel is planned for the Friday night, allowing visitors to combine business with pleasure. There are plenty of excellent hotels and B&Bs located within easy reach of the exhibition halls and the Tip-Ex 07 organisers have negotiated discounted packages with many of these.
If you are a manufacturer or supplier serving the needs of the tipping industry, Tip-Ex 07 is just what you’ve been waiting for. This low-cost exhibition gives you the opportunity to show your wares to visitors who are genuine buyers, all of whom are directly involved in the tipper sector.
The last tipper exhibition held in Harrogate 10 years ago attracted around 10,000 visitors and subsequent press reports generated further substantial interest among those unable to attend.
There will be extensive advertising and editorial coverage prior to the show to maximise visitor attendance and the press will be given exclusive access two hours before the show opens to the public on the first day.
Stand space is not expensive and there is no need to build costly structures – the emphasis is very much on a down to earth show featuring your products, not fancy show designs.
Entrance to the show is by catalogue purchased at the door or by discounted tickets obtained in advance. Exhibitors each get a free 200 word entry in the show catalogue and are given the opportunity to take advertising space at highly advantageous rates.
