About the trade show
It is a great honor and pleasure to invite so many lingual orthodontic practitioners and presenters in Frankfurt on the occasion of our 10th ESLO Congress of which I am tremendously proud to be the President.
Lingual Orthodontics has been instrumental in helping make major improvements in numerous areas related to our specialty such as customized brackets; computer based positioning, virtual set ups, self ligating systems and interdisciplinary treatment and combinations like temporary anchorage devices. These invisible forms of treatment have significantly boosted adult and teenager orthodontics thus reflecting the aesthetic desires of our contemporary society.
It has been ten years since President Dirk Wiechmann held the 5th ESLO Congress in Berlin and once again it is a special privilege to host the ESLO in Germany. We must give credit to Dirk that, as one of the most recognized lingual experts in the world, Lingual treatment has, particularly in Germany and Europe, continued to be such a success.
I would like to extend my warmest greetings to you all at this year’s Congress, the most important and exciting event in the calendar for our society. The ESLO Organizing Committee has made every effort to ensure participants again have a pleasant and rewarding stay in Germany from every standpoint: scientific, collegial, leisure and accommodation.
The last Congress held in London showed that the holding of lectures and presentations was scientifically very productive and highly appreciated. This year the ESLO Scientific Committee is pleased to announce Toshiaki Hiro as chairing the Pre Congress course and the hosting of a further more than ten keynote and over thirty other international experts as lecture speakers.
