About the trade show
Three-Dimensional Reservoir Modeling has experienced a tremendous progress in the last decades. The technology is now routinely used by IOCs, NOCs and Service Companies. Academic Research also significantly contributes, while students are trained to run case studies with new modeling tools at University.
Obviously, to minimize the uncertainty associated with these models, they need to be constrained by as many geological concepts and multi-disciplinary data as possible. In addition to well data, quantified geological concepts, seismic and dynamic data are the main source of information. Emerging approaches couple reservoir models with geomechanical models, or provide multiscale workflows from pore to reservoir simulation scale. The speed of integration is also crucial, as the “Seismic to Simulation” workflow still takes far too much time.
This conference focuses on the latest developments in Integrated Reservoir Modelling and their implications on reservoir management and field development strategies. A particular emphasis will be on the field applications and validation of new technologies that have emerged over the last decade. Special emphasis will be given to case histories and examples of multi-disciplinary integration. Open discussions will be encouraged on successes, failures, issues associated with the practical use of academically-developed techniques, and lessons learned since Integrated Reservoir Modelling became mainstream technology.
