About the trade show
According to the Moroccan Agency of Investment and Development (AMDI), Morocco becomes ever more important as a hub for integrated subcontractors outsourcing major parts of their operations to the Kingdom. This is especially true for subcontractors responsible for the design, industrialisation and the purchase of raw materials and components.
Morocco’s electronics‘ industry has a bright future. Already in 2010, Morocco has exported electronic components with a volume of 652.7 million Euro. At the same time Morocco imported electronic components worth 347.4 million Euro. (Source: ZVEI – German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association)
Morocco’s 1st International Trade Fair for Electronic Components, Systems and Applications, Tronica Expo, targets to become Africa’s leading trade fair for electronic components, systems and applications. The range of exhibits covers technologies, products and solutions in the entire electronics industry.
The event is organized by Fenelec - the Moroccan Federation of Electricity, Electronics and Renewable Energies, one of its five member-associations being ASEL - The Moroccan Association of the Electronics’ Sector. No doubt, their 43 members will heavily contribute to the success of Tronica Expo.
The global market for electronic components is supposed to grow by 5.7% in 2012, to then 503 billion US Dollars (ZVEI).
