About the trade show

Organised under the theme "Transforming the PRD into a Green, Quality Living Area," this year's Eco Expo Asia has 200 exhibitors, 63 per cent more than last year, with strong participation from the Chinese mainland and overseas. "Eco Expo Asia offers a wide range of business-to-business, business-to-government and business-to-consumer opportunities," said Raymond Yip, Assistant Executive Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), organiser of the fair together with Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd.

More than 40 buying missions from 43 countries and regions are taking part in the fair, which features strong government support. For the first time, the event is co-organised by Environment Bureau of Hong Kong SAR Government, and Secretary for the Environment Edward Yau was on hand for the opening ceremony. Chinese mainland officials are attending, and pavilions have been set up for governments from Dongguan, Foshan, Fujian, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Pavilions also represent the European Union, France and the United Kingdom.
