The Malaysia International Dive Expo (MIDE) was initiated in 2006 and it has been a yearly expo till todate. MIDE objective is promoting Malaysia and its surrounding waters as Asia’s best diving spots and one of the Best Dive Destinations in the world. Further to promote Malaysia as the world-standard diving destination and its region to the international and domestic divers. It also aims to cultivate and develop the new generation of divers of their interest by diverting them to marine environment and making scuba diving as an interesting experience. Further to promote major brands of products and services that can be obtained in Malaysia. Yearly MIDE’s has visitors minimum from 30 countries.
In regards to conservation this exhibition is a good platform to raise awareness to the visitors who may be mostly divers, future divers or general public to be responsible and mindful while engaging in especially water sport activities. MIDE shares marine conservation efforts. It is also one of our corporate responsibility initiatives to help conserve the environment and marine life. We have conservation groups such as Reef Check Malaysia, WWF, Malaysia Nature Society who are endlessly doing their conservation works for the young generation to know and understand the underwater world by educating the young generation divers.
