About the trade show

Following the outstanding successes of previous OFI events, OFI Asia 2012 will return to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre for the 4th time.

OFI Asia 2012 will display the latest equipment, technologies and services in the Asian edible Oils & Fats market. This prestigious event will be held in conjunction with the Malaysian Oil Scientists' and Technologists' Association (MOSTA) and incorporating the Oils and Fats International Congress (OFIC).

Malaysia is a global leader in the production and export of palm oil products with exports to China expected to increase this year, driven by growing demand and positive signs in the Chinese economy. Last year, Malaysia exported 4M tonnes of palm oil valued at US$2.81bn to China alone.

So far in 2010, Malaysian palm oil exports are running 7.6% higher on the year with further growth in demand from China, Egypt, Pakistan, Korea and the UAE, augmented by some recovery in exports to the USA and Europe. The past year has also seen Malaysia's government encouraging plantation companies to forge more ventures with foreign buyers, involving storage and refining facilities at destination.

Participating at OFI Asia 2012 is the perfect way to build relationships and win business with the region's multinationals and independent  manufacturers. This is a prime opportunity for you to promote your latest products and services in this fast growing Asian market.
