About the training
A strong internal control process in your organisation can be the result of effective use of resources and proper financial accountability. The challenge is to sustain this effectiveness in order to streamline the auditing process. It is important to optimise the assurance coverage obtained from management, internal assurance providers and external assurance providers on the risk areas affecting your organisation. Thus, thorough knowledge of COSO-based internal control concepts and combined assurance applications becomes vital.
Neoedge’s 3-day workshop on “Advanced Internal Control Concepts & Combined Assurance Applications”, will empower participants with effective COSO-based internal control systems that can help management identify structure and implement changes that may seem overwhelming at first, reduce errors and increase efficiencies, as well as anticipate problems and provide guidance on how to respond. Moreover, it allows management and auditors to speak a common language.
It will be led by two expert trainers. The first international expert has specialized in internal control related consulting, course development and instruction. He is a second year member of the international Committee of Research and Education Advisors (CREA) of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and served as an advisor to the Institute of Internal Controls (IIC). The second expert is a member of the PwC Southern African National Governance and Risk team. In January 2010, following the release of King III, he was appointed to the PwC National Governance Team and he has specifically focussed on developing and implementing governance solutions for the last 18 months.
