About the trade show
Airborne Early Warning and Control has been seen as an essential element to battle management and non-coventional operations, providing senior commanders with a comprehensive operational picture and seamless connectivity with all air, ground and maritime assets.
Both the Indian Airforce and Navy have current requirements for Airborne Early Warning (AEW) aircraft. The Indian Air Force are looking to purchase 8 systems, and the Indian Navy invited a request for information (RFI) in the middle of last year for surveillance aircraft. (The Navy's requirements for surveillance aircraft have became important in the wake of the Mumbai terrorist attacks). The plan is to buy 6-8 medium range airborne early warning surveillance aircraft and RFPs are due in the early part of 2012.
Also incorporating conference themes about the Electronic Collection and Surveillance radar and systems which are required to support AEW platforms in their critical role of battlefield command and control and when utilised in non-conventional roles, this 2 day conference and supporting exhibition, is an ideal opportunity for international platform and equipment manufacturers to showcase their products and services to a high level, highly targeted Indian Military attendee list.
