About the conference

In July 2011, a new temporary regulation guideline, Offshore Wind Development, Construction and Management Guideline was drafted and released. This step taken by both the China National Energy Bureau and National Ocean Bureau have put offshore wind high on China’s priority list of clean energy development, signaling to the market that the central government is serious about advancing development of the offshore wind industry.

However, offshore projects have special challenges, including placating local oppositions, a complex regulatory structure, as well as technical and logistical risks. Only the best informed will be able to seize the vast opportunities for developing offshore wind.

Building on the success of Offshore Wind Development Asia 2011, IQPC is proud to announce the return ofOffshore Wind Development Asia 2012 to explore top-notch technologies and best practices for the industry.
