About the trade show

The 2010 Industry Studies Conference will be held on May 6-7, 2010, at the University of Illinois at Chicago. An opening reception also is planned for the evening of May 5. The conference program will include competitively selected organized panels and individual papers. The program will also feature a pre-conference professional development workshop (PDW) for early career scholars, a plenary session, and an awards luncheon. The Conference draws scholars from a wide range of disciplines who present findings from research at the cutting edge of the academic literature in their areas of specialization. Research presented at the conferences very often focuses on issues of immediate interest to industry and public policy. Recent Updates The 2010 Conference Committee has announced this year's plenary panel: "Health Care Reform, Health Care Delivery, and Industry Studies". This panel will feature three speakers: Len Nichols (George Mason University), Richard Frank (Harvard Medical School), and Jonathan Cohn (Senior Editor at The New Republic).
