The Siberian Fair, International Exhibition Centre

In December, 1989 the Siberian Fair held the first all-Siberian Universal exhibition which has gathered 750 participants and, in spite of serious success, initiated the development of fundamentally new Russian exhibition structure. The Siberian Fair year after year strengthened the first success, earning reputation of the reliable partner, forming a level of exhibition culture in region.

"The Siberian fair" acted as one of initiators and founders of the leading exhibition centers association of Russia. In 1991 The Union of Exhibitions and Fairs was established. It consisted of 9 organizations. Today International Union of Exhibitions and Fairs consists of 87 exhibition organisers. It is worth mentioning, that inspite of considerable increase in number of exhibition organizers "The Siberian fair " strongly keeps its positions. The official statistics of the International Union of Exhibitions and Fairs tells that "The Siberian Fair " is among the five leaders in the industry.

During 16 years the Siberian Fair passed a way from provincial fair up to the international exhibition center offering world quality exhibition services. There are more than one hundred ehibition events in a calendar of the Siberian Fair and its history is a formation chronicle of exhibition movement in Russia. Industrial exhibitions carry out function of the economic valve, becoming the major element of a market (industrial-marketing-trading) infrastructure both on regional and at the international level.

Today it is possible to consider as a result of The Siberian Fair activity the fact, that the tendency of multifunctional importance of industrial exhibitions in providing the production process of all megapolis is revealing more clearly.
