Built during the first decades of the 20th century, Helsinki Congress Paasitorni is a unique meeting and conference centre located at the heart of Helsinki. Paasitorni is located in Siltasaari, next door to Hakaniemi market, on the shore and within a quick reach of excellent transport links.
The building boasts cultural and historical value, and provides an inspiring, memorable setting for small-scale meetings and major conferences alike. The aesthetically pleasing and meticulously restored milieu brings atmosphere to formal dinners and special occasions. The Congress Hall, which has room for up to 800 guests, is also an excellent venue for concerts and other public events.
In autumn 2011 a new characteristic quality hotel with 170 rooms will be opened in connection with Helsinki Congress Paasitorni. In addition to hotel rooms it will house new conference rooms, lobby for exhibitions and catering and a new restaurant hall. Also, a 200-seat floating restaurant pavilion will be built in front of Paasitorni by Eläintarha Bay. The pavilion is planned to be opened in spring 2011.
